When it was first set-up, I didn't get paid for 2 months. I know things have improved since then, but no Direct Deposit until things are more steady for me. +5
No problem. It's very convenient.
I wouldn't do it any other way...and if a mistake happens they make it right...I believe they are doing a good job with my money so far..
It is a simple transaction. They have no other access to your account or account information. What's the reason to mistrust?
I've had direct deposit for years and had almost no problems with it at all (a couple of short delays because of a computer feed, perhaps). It sure saves me a lot of time not having to make trips to go deposit my check!
I haven't ever had a problem. But if they should make a mistake, they'd better correct it quickly otherwise I'm off to the Bahamas!! WOOOHOOOO!!!
BTW, I had a co-worker working through a temp org get a $36,000+ pay check direct deposit error and they didn't realize it for 4 months!!
He just moved what he was legally due to him and left the rest.
Can you believe the company demanded he pay them interest? He refused (After he left them) and they tried to sue him. He then left America as he was a alien and went back to Canada, we wished him well and laughed!
I do not trust this company Paychex that my employer has contracted to do the payroll. They were supposed to deposit the funds every other Thursday and now it appears that they are doing this every other Friday without even advising my employer.
This being said, they were supposed to deliver the stubs for DD and my paycheck to my employer on Friday.
As of 4:00 p.m. it was not delivered. When my boss called up, they said they would have to call her back.
Turns out the person that delivered the checks slid them under a locked door that had a sign "Employees Only" on the door. This is for a shared restroom for businesses other than my employer who has a suite in the building. Everyone had gone home for the day early and my employer does not have a key for this restroom so my paycheck and the stubs are on the floor in restroom. How a company could "deliver" payroll like this is mind boggling. I will never allow them to do anything electronic with my pay if they cannot even deliver an envelope of paychecks to a customer and have them sign for it.
This company is a mockery and I am so sad that my boss didn't go with ADP.
direct deposit isnt the problem. its the managers who deny overtime and say i only worked eight hours when i worked ten. it takes a month to get that extra two hours.
