Volunteer... At the hospital, the senior center, the boys & girls club, your church, your library... Find something you like to do, and do it... Family history, art (painting/sculpting/music/etc.), crafts, sports, writing, whatever. Then find others that like to do the same, and join or form a group. If you truly "work all the time" (your own business), set aside a few hours (at least) a week to do SOMETHING else. Try not to think about work during that time. Learn to like being alone OR with friends. If you are doing something besides sitting around and feeling sorry for yourself, you will feel much better. ;-)

You need a change and your hometown ain't doing much for you. Move to the girlfriend's state and start over.

I'd suggest that you get new friends or MOVE ... as these "Friends" probably aren't .... IF you can get a job where your girlfriend is ; maybe move there .... if not, then move wherever you can find work and make new friends .... You might even consider a new girlfriend as being that far away from each other very SELDOM actually works ... +5
