The problem is that no one thinks of themselves as evildoers. I'm sure even Hitler thought he was doing the right thing. But good intentions can lead to bad outcomes, and that's where the road to Hell comes in.

Consider Communists, One Worlders & others who believe that the ends justify the means. To join a low level of "the club" may mean lying-but of course it's for the greater good. Slowly it becomes clear that those willing to commit ever more serious crimes are more committed to the cause & are thus acting on a higher moral plane. Thus we end up with PNAC( the Program for the New American Century) & their willingness to cause 9/11 for the "good" to follow. Not only is this wrong in itself, but such groups are often used by others & are not even aimed at the professed goals. For example, both 9/11 & the JFK assassination were ultimately controlled by the pseudo elite of the One Worlders, not, respectively, by PNAC or the ultra -conservative group connected to the Hunts.
