  • depends on what you want it for. if you want the name recognition, go with the ivy leagues or top 10 public education programs. 99% of the time, an MS in spec ed is not very different from the top 99th percentile to the 25th percentile. given the extra $20,000 a year in cost x 2 years = $40,000 and 2 years of lost income at $40,000 each, the total investment is another $120,000. i'd be tempted to just get a job at a public school and hint that you're interested in special education. public schools dive over themselves to hire spec ed teachers and often they'll pay your tuition for spec ed classes.
