Why is it that Major League Baseball seems to devote more time and money towards charitable (children, cancer) causes than all other professional sports?

Actually the PGA Professional Golfers Association donates more to charity than any other sport.

Is this a fact? Not to mention that a lot of players devote time for charitable causes such as inner city leagues, disabled leagues and other little leagues. I havent seen Tiger teach children as much as Jimmy Rollins, Torii Hunter, Albert Pujols, etc.
