I work in the Operating Room at a major hospital.. What kind of surgery do you think would freak/gross you out the most?

Brain surgery would make me very nervous. You know, one slip and ..... I suppose there are some tumors to remove that could be really gross. Are any of them smelly?

Anything having to do with they eyes. *Shudder*...even just thinking about it makes me want to cover my own eyes protectively.

Anything on a trauma victim, where "stuff" was randomly damaged by injury. I don't think any routine surgery would bother me too much.

I think sexual reassignment would freak me out... expecially when they start cutting off...moving around, and stitching...down there??? taking off balls...removing and replacing cliterous...WOAH!! I feel weazy thinkin about it... ...couldnt sit and watch it.

I don't think any particular surgery would gross me out but if someone is all busted up from an automobile accident or something like that.........I could feel that pain! Like have your legs busted into 6 different places and having the bones protruding. That makes me hurt! I couldn't be an EMT for that very reason. +5

Anything other than some kind of key hole surgery would freak me out to the point of fainting. Maybe some kind of amputation. Or brain surgery, but I'll go with amputation.

ALL of it! lol The site of blood doesn't bother me all that much, but seeing open wounds kinda does.

Perirectal abscess drainage. :-)

I don't know what it's called, but it's a surgery where the surgeons insert a balloon into the patient's calf, inflate it, snip their artery and remove it through the big inflated leg hole, and put the artery in the heart as a replacement.
