  • Bacardi 151, Wild Turkey 101, Southern Comfort (151 or 101 not sure), Everclear 151 these are the ones I know of.
  • Okay there is everclear...That stuff will take the paint off of your car, don't drink it strait!!! If you want it I say make your favorite mixed drink and add a shot to beef it up. Now have you ever heard of stroh...not the beer? It's a drink made from rum and man is it good. At 160proof you won't need much. I suggest mixing it with butter rum liquor or Irish cream. I've mixed it with Barq's root beer for a great cocktail or on the rocks if you've got a strong stomach. Look for Stroh160!!!
  • Pure grain alcohol has the highest proof of any spirit. Although moonshine is no longer commonly drunk as it was in the old days; the closest thing you can get legally on the commercial market is Everclear (which is a pure grain alcohol.) Everclear is illegal in many states because it is so potent at a numbing 190 proof. It’s highly flammable and should never be drunk straight or in excess. Drinking one shot of Everclear is equal to drinking about 3 or four gallons of beer. It’s tasteless, odorless, and extremely intoxicating, so drink it at your own risk. Other than grain alcohol, rum is the strongest hard liquors you can purchase. Rum that is over 120 proof is called overproof rum, one of the highest overproof rums I know of is St. Vincent which is 169 proof. Next up is Austrian Stroh 80; and 80 isn’t the proof, it’s the alcohol content, 80% alcohol. It’s very powerful and very popular, 160 proof rum made in Austria. Bacardi, which is world famous for it’s rum, makes a strong 151 proof drink. It’s illegal in several countries due to its alcohol content. It’s a very dark and rich rum. Next is Absinthe, a strong green liquor that is 130 proof. It’s made from an herbal concoction of anise, fennel, licorice, hyssop, veronica, lemon balm, angelica root, dittany, coriander, juniper, nutmeg, and wormwood. It is illegal in the USA because it contains a chemical compound found in wormwood which is considered toxic and it known to cause hallucinations. Mezcal, very similar to Tequila but stronger, it is usually 110 proof. Like Tequila it is made from the distilled fermented juice of agave plants in Mexico (Tequila is made from only the blue agave plant). Wild Turkey comes in at 108 proof. It’s a very well made bourbon that has a very strong kick to it and burns going down. Below is a list of the highest proof liquors. Name-----------Proof-----------Type Everclear ----------------190 proof –--Grain alcohol St. Vincent—-----------169 proof-----Rum Austrian Stroh 80-----160 proof –--Rum Bacardi 151-------------151 proof ---Rum Absinthe -----------------130 proof—-Distilled Herbal Mezcal –------------------110 proof--- Tequila-like Wild Turkey------------- 108 proof--- Bourbon
