• I really don't know for certain but I don't think that there is. They don't usually look past the last 5 or 6 years in an audit but if they find that you owe from farther back I think that they can still go after that money. I think it would have to be some sort of investigation into massive tax fraud or something like that but it is possible I believe. It has been a while since I learned about the IRS's capabilities but I seem to remember something about their abilities to collect outstanding debt. I could be remembering wrong.
