A lot of dedicated musicians feel this way. Their expectations are ahead of what the physical body is able to do. Improvement comes over longer periods of time, not in daily measurements, just like weight loss. Make sure when you practice that you can show that you've accomplished something, such as finishing a song that you started, perfecting a new chord progression, able to do a lick that you couldn't do yesterday, or adding a new verse to a song you're writing. Every time you start a new song, make sure you finish an old one, otherwise you'll just have more and more unfinished songs, and that can be discouraging.

If you don't do it...video tape your playing. Record songs and play them back. Ham it up, rock out and perform...it's a blast and you can post them youtube and keep them private for you or some of your friends. It's a head rush to watch your own playing if you don't already and good to see what you are hearing.

Practice with someone. I liked the taping suggestion above as well.
