Taxes won't be needed to pay for it. At present we are paying 1.6 Trillion dollars. Universal Health Care will cost 1.1 Trillion. A saving of .3 Tillion.
I see both sides so I see good and bad in the idea. They claim it will harm older folks. I wouldnt want my grandparents to suffer from it. But at the same time I like the idea that people who cant afford medical care will have coverage... I just dont know!
No... I'm poor and don't have health insurence. I should get it, but havn't got it yet.
If people didn't smoke, drink, do drugs, get tattoos, or do other things to waist money, they could afford it.
One day I will be in the upper class, and I don't want to pay for lazy, waistfull poor people.
Too many people think there will be a waiting line for health care if it is socialized. Fact is, if everyone had health insurance, there will be another 40 million people running to the hospital when one of their farts smell different. Socializing medicine will have the same result. It should be socialized, and should be on a progressive scale, not linear.
I can promise the tax hike will be greater than 60%.
