Is it classed as cheating if your partner went interstate with another woman, kept the trip a secret... You found happy together pictures from the trip posted on her facebook, yet 'apparently' they didn't have sex?

dead leaves raked in a pile

I'm going to go out on a limb here.. Interstate is irrelevant.

It's funny that "cheating" is generally equated with sex. And then lawyers will argue endlessly about how far you can actually go with another woman (or man) before it constitutes "sex" within the meaning of the wedding vows.

and yet the wedding vows never include "I vow to only have sex with (fill in the blank)." Words like honor and cherish...

It's a little like medical instructions "nothing by mouth after midnight." Can I suck a boiled candy? can I rinse my mouth with water if I spit it out? Can I have just one saltine cracker? I'm so hungry!

Which part of "NOTHING" didn't you understand?

Simple fact is (whether you believe in Jesus or not) the Bible gets it right here. Lusting after another woman (I guess that includes men too) weakens the bond.

A business trip can be innocent. Having a good time on a trip can be innocent.

Going on a secret trip (inter- or intrastate) isn't innocent. Even if they didn't have sex.

If my partner did that, I wouldn't consider it to be cheating, even if sex DID happen.

My partners are trusted totally by me, and always have my consent to do anything they wish, without asking me in advance.

If you don't trust your partner completely, you don't LOVE your partner.
