What is one of the best documentaries you've ever seen? I need some ideas for new films to watch and I am interested in documentaries at the moment. Thanks in advance.

    "The Silent Shame" (1984)

    It was an NBC documentary investigating the "business" of child pornography, and watching it made me sick to my stomach.

    The Cove (on dolphin slaughters in japan: won an academy award).
    Food Inc (great, but changes your perception on food).
    The inside job (Great movie on the financial crisis).
    The Tillman story (story of Pat Tillman, NFL star and victim of the war on terror: The film focuses on his death and how the government covered up what really happened).
    The Fog of War (life lessons from William Mcnamara: Secretary of defense to Kennedy).
    The thin blue line (the police's botch up of an investigation into the murder of one of their own).
    Sicko: (Michael Moore's best film).
    Catfish (Highlights the problems of the computer age).

    Doco's provide some of the most interesting topics. Just go down to your DVD store and grab a few.
