Help answer this question below.
Nope, but try being happy living on the streets. Money doesn't buy happiness, but it does buy security which is a key component of happiness.
Money can rent happiness.
Happiness comes from learning to be content with what ever you have. If you cannot learn to do this, then no amount of money will ever be enough for you. You will just keep wanting more and more. In writing this, don't think that I am saying that you don't desire more, but when you are content, you can accept that you don't have it. When you are content, you understand that there are things that are more important than money. Money does not buy happiness. It can make life more comfortable, but if you can't be happy with what you have, then no amount of additional comfort is going to make you happy.
having "money" provides security and eliminates the stress of paying bills, and greases the wheels of your life. . Happiness is from within and can only be found when you are at peace with who you are therefore there are some very happy rich people. Generally happiness is a by-product of doing something meaningful, for others. you want ot feel really happy grateful and at peace, go help out at a soup kitchen then whatever money you have will seem like a fortune, and cost you nothing.
No I don't think so, but I wouldn't mind finding out for sure. :)
It can make things easier but it can't make you happy
Your question reminds me of a joke.
Does money buy happiness? Nope, but it can make a nice down-payment.
Honestly, I know people who are very well off but are no more or less happy than other people who have less money.
Actually several reputable studies show that once you pass a certain level of financial security, I seem to recall a stable $50K situation, your happiness doesn't increase by having/making more money.
If you know where to shop !!
No but it makes suffering more comfortable.
No, money helps but it can't buy happiness. Ever.
nope but it eliminates a different set of problems
Through the transitive property, yes.
Money helps alleviate stress and alleviating stress allows you to focus on the good things in life and that is where happiness comes from.
It depends what you define as happiness. It will definitely buy things which will make you happy. Overall happiness comes from inside. Money is just a means to extract it.
False.
You can use money to achieve happiness, but happiness cannot be purchased because it cannot be guaranteed.
False, money a can't buy everlasting happiness only temporary happiness.
if I get a lot of money, but lose everything else that matters, then it is false..
But if I get a lot of money, and don't have to lose anything, then I will be a very happy person.. Hopefully my answer makes sense :P Its hard to explain some things
I think there's a limit. If you have enough money to afford slightly more than what you're used to, you'll be happy. If you have loads and loads of cash and use it to help others, you'll be happy. If you have loads and loads of cash and use it to become more materialistic, you'll end up miserable.
It helps. Rich people are always wanting and striving to get more and more and more so they aren't satisfied and happy so no. I know plenty of miserable "rich people" and happy poor/middle class people.
No but it makes suffering more comfortable.
No, but it can buy food for the starving, and seeing them happy makes you happy.
Simply, no.
It might make you happy for a day, but your personal problems will always be there no matter how much money you have.
it buys happiness cause its the pleasure of life.. but money wont buy love
Money can bring most forms of happiness. If you think about it money really can buy almost anything. But not TRUE friends.
I would not say it buys happiness but it is more of a comfort to be a multi-millionaire.When money is never an issue then happiness is a little more likely.
No, but it can buy fun. And fun is often confused for happiness.
Nope. Money buys stuff. If you like stuff, then having money will enable you to be temporarily happier....but the old stuff will ultimately bore you and you will want more/bigger/better stuff. This isn't the pursuit of happiness....sorry.
Think of it as a down payment
Well it sure don't buy me love (total beatles reference =)
A certain amount is necessary to be happy but you cannot buy happiness. Only you can make yourself happy.
Yes, but it's only temporary. God gives you eternal happiness. ;-)
I once heard someone say that the only people who believe money can't buy happiness are those who have never experienced a significant shortage of it.
If someone already has everything they need (roof over their head, food in their bellies, good education etc)its unlikely that any amount of extra money is really going to make them that much happier for any significant length of time. (If you have the money to buy whatever you want, where's the fun in it?)
However, for a starving child in the third world- for whom a small amount of money can buy food, education, health care, new oppurtunities- then I think you can legitimately argue that money can buy rather a large amount of happiness.
True...sometimes. Somene you love needs a very expensive operation but has no insurance. You have tons of money and pay for it. The operation goes as hoped and your loved one survives and thrives. Without the operation your loved one would have died. Without your money there would have been no operation. That would you make you very happy, wouldn't it? Happy Wednesday anil! :)
deffinately not. you can buy anything you like but material things will never buy you lasting happiness. a peaceful mind will.
No, I don't. happiness is beyond money. It's funny but we think we'll be happy when we have it and when we do we realize what fools we were when we were hoping we could get more of it and be happy.
No, but it's better to be miserable with money than without it!!!!!
Yes, money can buy you happiness. Happiness is momentary and is contingent on things or people pleasing you. Joy is internal regardless of the circumstances. I have found joy in serving God who provides me with an inner peace and contentment regardless of what is occurring or going on around me.
No.
Might be a temporary fix but your problems are your problems. The roots are always there no matter how much cash you have.
Yes and lots of other things.
Money could buy me happiness for all the material things I wanted and needed. And it would make my family very happy if I could buy them anything they wanted. But money really can't buy true Love.
having money makes me kinda happy.
it depends on the person and type
Yes, money can buy happiness, but money cannot cure diseases. So if you have money but also a terrible disease, you will not be happy.
"Money can't buy happiness."
This is an axiom I'd like to test on a large scale.
Based on personal experience, my own happiness goes up on a regular and predictable basis: every other Friday and the first day of every month.
I do not believe it is a coincidence that these days correspond to paydays.
true money can buy you security and thats a step closer to happiness... people with money tend to be healthier; healthy body equals healthy mind... money can buy nice holidays which make you feel good... money can allow you to give to charity and help others which makes you feel good and improves your karma... money means you can pursue your passions and so find greater fulfilment from life... having money is a great priveledge but enjoying your job rather than making alot of money is a better route to happiness... remember karma its real and worked for me i helped people who had problems and that helped me with mine... be kind especially to nature and things will happen for you naturally... dont feed birds bread its bad; try wild bird food... bad things still happen to good people its the good karma that helps you cope... too loud headphones damage hearing as does working in a nightclub without wearing earplugs; it did me...just incase don't blaspheme any religion...karma can sometimes take years to work... being creative stimulates brain chemistry...eat 5 portions of fruit and veg a day and take a little exercise h; healthy body equals healthy mind... and always use a condom
False. Happiness is priceless, is how much money can not buy
No.
Yes, you can buy lots of hookers & drugs with it.
I do.
It can buy a close enough facsimile to suit my purposes. +5
