Help answer this question below.

I bought a new 2 gallon tank a few weeks ago, i followed all the instructions and everthing and i know its supposed to have bubbles, but it foams up to 3 inches on top of the water, what is going on? and how can i stop it, other than unplugging it?

    many things could be wrong
    -no filter
    -to many chemicals
    -sick fish
    -dead fish
    checks these and maybe dump out the water and try again
