    Lots! What do you like to do when you aren't stressed?

    bike
    swim
    go for a walk
    write
    take a long bath (bubbles--who cares if you're a guy--they really help)
    talk to a friend/relative
    read
    watch something silly on tv
    pet your pet if you have one
    give someone a hug
    tell someone you love them
    find a new recipe and cook

    let your eyes go into soft focus, and pay more attention to your peripheral vision - this automatically makes your body and nervous system relax more.


    Also, breathe out twice as long as you breathe in. So e.g. breathe in for a count of 4, and out for a count of 8. This also automatically makes your body relax. Breathe like this for several minutes at a time.

    take anxiety meds that I am prescribed, on a rare occasion.

    or if its in the middle of the day, i go to the gym and lift weights or play basketball, or i go biking. if its at night, i turn on a good movie, crack open an ice cold beer, and relax.

    sexually relieve yourself - breathe - workout whether pilates, walking or talk to a friend or family or councilor, do something you enjoy watch tv, be with someone you love ..whatever floats your boat really.
