Help answer this question below.

Anyone on here living in or around the Toronto area? Wondering how you're making out with the Tornado situation. Aug. 20/2009.

    My house is fine, my car went up in the air and now it's a write-off. Just grateful no one was seriously hurt.

    The town I work in was hit with one. The clean up there is progressing well.

    They started the clean up almost immediately. Some 200 homes took damage but very few will need to be knocked down and rebuilt. The Mayor of Vaughn ( the area it hit is outside of Toronto proper)declared a state of emergency for 2 days to get in Provincial and Federal help but it's over now. Apart from those people immediately affected, everything is back to normal.

    It was originally the Tornado area but due to misspelling became Toronto.

    It was interesting, but I didn't see any devastation. I also went down H#7, from H#27 to Islington, out of curiosity, and found nothing out of the ordinary.

    I suppose the devastation was in a few small streets.
