I have managed to view a scanned image saved as a .tiff file - I now would like to upload the image to a webpage for my friends to see but am not sure how to do it. Will they need to download software such as 'infranview' in order to view the .tiff file?

How would I get an effect wherein the subject only of a black and white photo is in colour using The GIMP? Is it possible at all?
