This is probably MORPHINE (MS Contin®, Oramorph®, Kadian®) which relieves moderate to severe pain. Morphine may also be used to treat pain associated with cancer, heart attacks, sickle cell disease and other medical conditions. This type of morphine is for people who need pain medicine for more than a few days. These capsules and tablets are especially designed to release morphine over a period of time.Federal law prohibits the transfer of morphine to any person other than the patient for whom it was prescribed.
