Yes, a minority of users do that.

If someone is feeling negative about a situation, then they're gonna phrase their question negatively and want to hear feedback like they think! Just kinda human nature, I guess.
-
Possibly, as they can then have justifiable reasoning for rating the responses and not helpful

Answer questions from your own perspective, as honestly as you can and you will get rated accordingly. Just because someone doesn't agree then they should not downrate you, it should be the start of a good debate.I know you have been hammered a lot today so i will leave you a nice +3

Yep. I think some people get a kick out of stirring the pot, so to say. Strange people... my father being one of them!

Absolutely. People who have nothing better to do than waste people's time.

I skip many of them, but everynow and then I answer...which is my downfall...:-(

Absolutely, some people just like to stir the pot I suppose, and see how much reaction they can get. I suppose it is attention seeking behaviour, but there is not much you can do, other than ignore it.
-
Yes some people ask questions in a way that is meant to offend or stir a pot. Some do have legit questions that are worded wrong and sound offensive but aren't really meant to be. I don't mind that at all; but, the ones who deliberately want to insult or defame are just jerks.
-
yes u are so right.
-
Seems like it is happening more now.

The old saying goes that negative attention is better than no attention at all.
-
Some people just don't care about the effect they have on others.
