i think u should tell him that your mom doesnt aprove of you dating a black guy and if there are any reason tell him her reasons and if she doesnt have any than just apologize for you mothers behavoir but first listen and see if she has a reason. But i think there is absoloutly nothing wrong with it and neither should anybody else

Well, you know your boyfriend better than we do. It would probably be best to be open with him about your mom's issues.

It depends on how serious you are about him and how serious her prejudice is. If your mother's feelings are mild, you might be able to help her get over it and become more open-minded. If you can do that you may not need to tell him. If your mom's feelings are strong - and if you have to sneak around then I imagine they are - then you should let your boyfriend know about it.
I don't think you should sneak around either way. You should be open about your relationship and try to help your mom appreciate him and overcome her racist feelings. I know that's a tall order, but it's worth a try. People can and do change. Hopefully your mother will.

I'm sure your boyfriend knows about racism, so it's safe to tell him. The only thing that matters is that you are from a generation that has chosen to ditch the concept of racial superiority. Congratulations!

Yeah I agree he should know about it. If you plan to be with him a long time it's only fair that he knows and understands how your mother feels about it. No one said you or him have to agree with how she feels.
