Good question, yes, the freedom of being 'out there' is worth the trip, the destination isn't the whole reason to go,it's the traveling that seems to be the best thing.(wordy but I think I got the point across)
Not really - there's always the gas and mechanical problems to come with cars and bikes. The only time I'd ever feel free is with a tent strapped to my back, boots to my feet, and a head full of the secrets of hunting/gathering, horticulture, and how to make a quick buck no matter where I am. Besides, what constraints does life have at home that it doesn't have on the road?
I LOVED road trips in college ... going to concerts, sporting events, long holiday weekends ... wouldn't have traded the times for anything ...
Whatever you're doing, it is all a matter of the attitude and mind set you bring to the experience. You can experience the feeling of freedom while watching TV or reading a book...or simply closing your eyes and imagining (making an image) an experience. You really do have power over your own life in that you can choose how you react to life's experiences. You can control your life, simply decide to enjoy it.
Oh yeah. Only on a road trip for a vacation though. Not a road trip to the store though ;)
yes i travelled to the highlands of scotland and felt exactly that
"Yes" Most of my road trips are made on a motorcycle and it certainly puts you in touch with the area that you are riding through. There also isn't a lot of room for extra baggage, so it's a good idea to leave behind your everyday problems and just enjoy!
Madam M: you are making me miss the sunny days on the open roads of NC! What a question!
Would any of my AB friends like to go to Mobile, Al. with me this week? It will be a business/pleasure trip. Got to visit FloraBama!!!

Do you know where to go when you want to play in the snow? Lassen Volcanic Ntl. Park in northern California. 2 days ago hubby and I did it.

You're reading When you're on a "ROAD TRIP". . . . .do you actually experience a sense of FREEDOM and the wide open spaces you drive through? Do the constraits of "LIFE" vanish while you're driving on that trip?
