It sounds like the database has grown, as in you have added much data. If its painfully slow, you may need to clean up the OS itself. Clean the temp folder(s) defrag, etc...

When entering Items in the lists menu in Quickbooks, how do you decide the type? We sell promotional products and do not track inventory. It isn't a service. I'm not sure what to choose for the type of item.

You're reading My system has slowed down when running Quickbooks, with the message 'building temp reports.' Why could this be happening?
