Help answer this question below.

I have a 1996 volkswagon golf cl and the oil pressure sensor is CONSTANTLY going off when the revs are below 2000 rpm... can my car handle thicker oil? like 10/40? it doesnt say anything in my manuel about it...

    Sorry man I don't got an answer to this but I have a 1989 VW Golf and it does almost the same thing but the oil sensor comes on at random times saying the oil is low even though it never is. I think something with the oil sensor is just plain screwed on all Golfs.
