Are those mpg displays accurate in Chevy HHR, they are in the computer screen that tells you your oil life, average mph, temp etc,,information centers

    No.
    No on-the-fly electronics that give instantaneous MPG are very accurate, precise though they may be. MPG is best measures on a long baseline.
    They are an excellent guideline to inform you as to how efficiently you are driving, however.
