My child's dad is a new car salesmen and pays me $135 a month for child support, is that enough?

    I think it should be a little more than that assuming you were ethical in regards to your pregnancy.

    Where do you live? How old is the child? I think you could spend this much money just on diapers in one month.

    Perhaps he is a lousy salesman and doesn't sell too many cars.

    That depends. Does he pay for things for the child independently? If he provides for the child, then he shouldn't pay a penny. Child support has become more about the women than the child. Its become some sort of punishment for men who aren't with their child's father instead of something that benefits the child. I'm not saying that's what is happening in your case, just speaking out as a man who had to give up a third of my income every month when my child lived with me. The system is a joke.

    It depends on where you live. Here in San Diego, $135 is about one or two day's rent!
