A person who doesn't suffer from manic depression can do that. What are you trying to find out?
Any one can do that, not just someone with an illness.If it was during an episode of the illness that was not controlled, the illness may have helped it to happen that way. Especially If it was during a noticeably manic phase.
If the illness was well controlled at the time, then its the person that is at fault. While an illness may explain behaviour I do not believe it always makes it acceptable,
If person is not recieving medicine or psychotherapy or both, then yes.
