If you're in the U.S., go to community college and get an associates degree. It should transfer completely or nearly completely to universities in your state. Even if you choose to go to a private university, or a school in another state, most of the credits should transfer.
This is the smartest way to go to school in the U.S. when you don't know exactly what you want. There's no penalty for transferring your AA credits to a BA program. You get the same degree as anyone who went all four years in the BA program.
