Help answer this question below.
I try to leave a little note to everyone to thank them.
Sometimes I miss a few answers or forget.
I really make an effort to comment on all answers and to address people by their name when I do. I appreciate their time and am honored that they felt my question was interesting enough to answer.
There have been a few times lately, that someone has answered with nothing more than the agenda to make my questions look idiotic and to get attention. I will no longer give points nor make comments on this type of spam.
I leave a comment too, especially thanking for the answer.....
I don't always remember to give points but my preference is to answer the question in some way. Sometimes seriously, some times by whacky attempt at humor, and sometimes with "do your own homework."
They may wish, that's all I did. But I've always got to add a comment or two, to my many Wonderful AB FRIENDS out here...+5..........;-)
You know me better than that, Nancy. I always try to give a pat on the back or a hug when I point an answer or comment to my questions. It may take me a while to get to them, but I always do. I am appreciative and try to show it.
Yes, sometimes I do. Especially when my opinion or answer is too painful for me to write about and someone else has writen in essentually the exact words I would have.
I don't think I do, but it's possible I have before
No, I respond to their comments, but I don't have hundreds of questions on here so I do understand when someone just points me, for sure.
I think it's best to put forth the extra effort it requires to thank them and leave a thoughtful response. Unless AB doesn't alert me to new answers, I always point and comment an ABer. +5
I always like to leave a comment with a simple Thanks for sharing, and I do not like to DR anyone whether it's a good or a bad answer; it's up to the other ABers to DR them, not me.
Sometimes yes, if there is nothing more that I can add. Sometimes I add a thanks. +5
Nancy, sometimes if I see a heated discussion and I agree with a friend but really don't want in to it. I'll point my friend and move on. As a rule I comment.
Sometimes I do that.
Are you kidding? I'm always so excited that someone has answered one of my questions that I always say thank you, even if I don't agree but then I've noticed that sometimes AB doesn't let you know that you've received an answer...I'm still not sure how that works yet but when I'm told I always respond.
Points & at least a "thank you" for the answer.
I always post my observations as a comment. I am always ready for a discussion in the comments threads.
I also post a welcome note when I see a level 1 ABer answers my question.
This is a community of people on AB and there are true friends here and those who only come for pts. My friends are more important than pts. If you are a people person, you care about what your friends have to say.
Just like Finny, still in high school, and he has lots of questions about his g/f and always enjoy conversing with him. His attitude is very refreshing.
Then, there is Suby...lives in India...love his wisdom.
And, the Chief...now, you talking about wisdom.
There is Rosie...asks very thought provoking questions.
Then there is my friend Nancy...always positive.
Could mention so MANY more people here that on a daily bases loves to here their views and comments.
Personally no. I always try to say thank you for a reply and something personal if applicable.
I do not count a person writing +6 in the comment box as a comment they can do that on the points counter.
Yes, but i do read the answer and sometimes I have no retort or agreeance, if that is such a word!
How often do you ask a question about a specific thing and receive some responses that are perfect(aarrgghh!) examples of it? Useful?

Have you ever asked a question you think is innocent and had innuendo answers? (nudge nudge wink wink)

Do you answer a question right away or do you read everyone else's answer first?

I like thoughtful, civil answers whether I agree with them or not. Are you the same way? When are you not civil or are you always?

I miss some too, Vunessuh, but I try to go back and check again. If I miss somebody, it is an accident.

I go back as well.
For questions with lots of answers, AB doesn't notify (for every received answer) and I miss them. :(
