Do you write it out for the amount you will be paying each month?
by Sexyrabbit on August 16th, 2009
Is someone trying to get access to your checking account so you can allow them to withdraw a certain amount every month, like for a loan payment.
If so, they just wanted a voided check to have your banking information .. routing numbers, etc. You can just write "VOID" on a blank check and send it to them. They'll automatically withdraw whatever you have given them permission to each month.

Okay, thanks..:)

That seems a peculiar practice? Couldn't they just ask for the information?

They do now puzzled ... I haven't been asked for an actual voided check for years.
