No one that "qualifies" will be turned away based on there not being enough funds available.
What were you applying for?
The grants are NOT cash loans. They ARE for education.
Why don't you write an open letter to the president?
I'd have to know what he said to have a clue.
But obviously no organisation can give away money to anyone for any reason. Grants have criteria, for instance there might be grants given to study the effects of butter in one's diet or there might be grants given to university students.
I very much doubt he had "free money to all comers" in mind. And I'll venture a guess that anyone capable of using a computer knows that and is just stirring shit.
Guess you'll have to HOPE for some CHANGE, huh? From another lying politician. Why am I not surprised?

I saw President Obama on CNN on Government Grants and Free Government Grants. He said no one would be turned away. I filled out an application on line. The reply was I did not qualify. I am 59-years-old an I live on a fixed income. Can anyone answer this?
