You abandon your children, so that's not going to look any better than when a father leaves, though most are ordered to by the mother. Why not go for Bird Nest custody?

That depends on many different factors --
Do you have a job?
What are the custody laws in your state?
Do you have a good attorney?
When you marry your wife, do you have to pay her?

You're reading My husband was awarded temporary custody of my three children because I moved out of the home. I have since moved into a home down the street from my children. I was the primary caretaker prior to moving. How likely is it that I will get custody back?
Comments
abandonment- A parent's act of leaving a child without adequate care, supervision, support, or parental contact for a excessive period of time. I did not abandon my children as I was there the next day to pick them up from school and every day thereafter, until my husband denied me contact with the children. The courts awarded him custody because I was living in a 2-bedroom house in the neighboring city. I now have a 4- bedroom house a few blocks away from our marital home.

Well, that's the way the system views it with fathers, so you're getting your equal rights respected.
