  • According to my pastor evils seeps into your files through pornographic web sites and the minions of Satan constantly searching for new victims.
  • The data on your computer is stored on a magnetic disk. The disk is divided into thousands of sectors. Each sector has a starting point and an ending point. Your computer's operating system keeps track of where each file starts. The file will probably not be stored in one contiguous block of sectors, but be broken into numerous parts scattered about the drive. Each chunk of the file has a record of where the next chunk of the file is located. Normally, the disk drive head follows directions, skipping from spot to spot, and gathers up the entire file. If, however, something has gone terribly wrong and some of the instructions are missing, then your file is corrupted. The information could be missing for several reasons including physical damage to the disk surface, the disk read head having ideas of its own, etc. Or it could be Satan looking for new victims. The decision is yours. Develop your own belief system.
  • Viruses are a huge factor too. All they need to do is alter or delete a couple lines of code and you have a corrupted file. Oh yeah, and don't put a strong magnet near your computer, that will throw off the hard drive, not to mention some other things.
