  • The landlord's insurance may cover it. Claim should be filed. Sometimes there are exclusions for "dead" trees and even dead tree limbs that fall and do damage. If their insurance doesn't cover, you may be able to get relief via a lawsuit. This is not Wisconsin specific. I'm speaking in generality here. Have you checked with your own insurance company to see if your comprehensive coverage (if you have that) will cover the damage?
