You should be able to get unemployment. The only times people get turned down for it (that I've seen) is if they quit or did something illegal. It is not the employer's decision. They can appeal it if you get it, but you in turn can appeal it if you get denied.
apply, if you are turned down ask for arbitration
one thing in PA you have to be willing and able to work to collect UC
if ur med condition stops you from working ur not elg for UC
If you are living in the UK you have a strong case for unfair dismissal.I take it that you are talking about sick days?
If you were fired for cause the company can and likely will deny your unemployment claim and you will not receive benifits. You then have the option of appealing their denial and an arbitrator with the unemployment office will make a decision on if your denial of benifits was justified. If they rule that your denial was not justified you will then collect benifits including back benifits for the time you would have received them had the company not denied your benifits.
Missing too much time off from work can be considered a reasonable reason for terminating an employee particularly if they were not backed up by doctor's notes. That doesn't mean you can't still collect. Apply and see what happens.

You're reading If you are terminated from your job because you have used the limit of days to be taken off and they fire you for this can you collect unemployment benefits or is it up to the employer to let you collect?
