Is it true that we are only hurt by the ones we love? How about when someone upset you? Must you first have to love someone to become upset by them? Take trolling for instance.:)Should I feel loved?*

NO ONE CAN UPSET YOU UNLESS YOU ALLOW IT. Iknow in the past ive been upset by nobodys, ive just realised that if i go on worrying about what someone else did im suffering, not them. Plus in the bigger picture they are NOBODY so dont let anyones actions rain on YOUR parade. x

It's not that you must love some one before they can hurt you, it's that you are more affected by negative comments or actions when they come from a loved one. ie if some stranger say they hate your hair cut you brush it off. However if your significant other tells you the same thing the words mean much more and therefor you get hurt. It also doesn't help that the people who love us know us better and knows what bugs us and what hurts us, and some times will use these things in a battle.

I love everyone... In one way or another, some more than others, but I love all of them... I've been hurt, yeah... So I guess it could be true... But, your emotions (anger, sadness, happiness, et cetera) are in your head... Simply put; you are in control... No one can influence them unless you allow your emotions to be influenced by others... I think someone can get hurt even by those they just LIKE, not only love. A person can get UPSET by another even if they don't like them, depending on what has been done to upset. You don't have to love OR like someone to get upset with them. But I think it only HURTS if you at least like the person to some degree, because then they matter to you at least somewhat. +5
