OK, fine, they're duplicitous and despicable.

As it stands now illegal aliens have emergencies and births taken care of for free because hospitals cannot legally turn them away. Some are eligible for Medicaid. I've not heard anything about changing that as part of President Obama's proposal.

That is a very good point , im all for the healthcare bill btw (im english). If the politicians have any sense then they will ensure that in order to qualify for free healthcare the patient must have paid tax or there provider has done so for a minimum time period this would avoid the problem if the amnesty happens

And then the amnesty bill will have to face a storm of criticism from rightfully outraged folks.
But even if such an amnesty bill goes through, all it would take is another anti-amnesty bill to counteract it.
