Is it possible to bleach a five dollar bill, then print 20's and100's on them?

Not sure. Visit a Federal Prison, one of the inmates there should know. They will also tell you the true value of counterfeit money.

You can, but they would be obviously identified as counterfeit by anyone who merely held them up to the light to see the words running vertically on the bill.

With a lot of work, yes it is possible. The watermark is still a five dollar bill watermark. There are also a few other test that the bill would fail.

Someone told me that they know someone that turned them in to the bank with no problem. Thats kind of hard to believe. Thanks for your answer vincentcent.

My criminal brother used to do this all the time. But he used a wet eraser. I'm not sure that bleach will do it cause I'm sure his criminal mind must have thought of that before he resorted to the eraser
