  • you don't have to use the get it now service. there are other website out there that let you download ringtones. im not sure of which they are....but they are out there.. another way. depending on the sound formats that your phone supports.. you can buy a data link cable (also if your phone supports) and link to your computer and transfer sound files that way.. it might just be easier to use the services proviced by your cell phone company
  • myxertones.com is good but it says its free but its not so dont use it if you want free. the best free way is to record a song on your phone from a radio or computer etc. and send a picture message with the sound attached and when you receive it go to options and save sound as ringtone.
  • Unfortunately, Verizon doesn't allow you to use downloaded or user-installed ringtones or MP3s as the ringtone on your phone. You're stuck with either the pre-installed ones or paying Verizon for them using "get it now". The exception is the BlackBerry devices. They don't even have the "get it now" feature and you can download/install/create/use your own ringtones.
