How is Air Force One started? I know big planes don't have keys, but this is Air Force One. Shouldn't there be a key/code, something?

I also fly often and have also never been asked but apparently this was added to the list recently as it was on a radio talk-show. I wonder if there was an ulterior motive such as making sex-related lawsuits harder to prosecute.
