I'm in Ontario. I drive my husband's car, its only his name on the title. I worry that if I get pulled over, I won't be able to prove I have a right to drive the car. Should I carry my marriage certificate? I have a pretty severe phobia of police.

You are worrying for no reason.

If you two are married, the last name and address on the title will be sufficient to prove ownership.

The police are not your enemy.

Do you have insurance on the car? Is your name on the insurance papers? That should prove you have the right to drive the car.

Get a dated signed statement from hubby that you have his permission to drive the car at any time to any place that you deem fit.

Mind you I'm in Texas so what do I know of Ontario.
