'Chiromancy' - The science of study of Palms, also know as Palmistry, is the practice of evaluating a person's behavior or indicating his future life from the features reflected on his palm. A practitioner of this science scans or reads the Dominant hand of the person’s whose future is to be predicted. A palmist looks at certain lines, textures and shapes on the palm for interpreting the information about a person. This science (Calling it a science will depend on who is calling it, as there is an equal share of representation in believers and non believers) depends on the notion that the lines and shapes on the palm reflect the thinking made by the individual. These lines change as a persons attitudes and behavior patterns change. The changes in the lines or additions of lines on to the palm are permanent and palmists use these lines to analyze the past of an individual and to indicate the future for that individual from his past. There are reports that Greek physicians like Hippocrates and Galen used palmistry as a clinical aid. Today’s medical profession corroborates that certain generic and psychological abnormalities are reflected by unusual markings in the hand. The color of the skin, the shape of the hands, the length of the fingers, the fingernails, and even the way in which we present our hands, all can indicate some traits about an individual. So the palmists also use these minute details to build an assessment about an individual.
