An ace is a serve that is in bounds and scores without the opponant touching the ball. A kill is shot during play that is inbounds and because of speed and or position, can not be returned.

Someone already answered your question, but here is an Ace cheer that my team and I used to do. "Awww Ace Ace Baby" and then we'd hum the tune to "Ice Ice Baby" and shake our asses. I love volleyball.
