i have an 8gig memory stick, when i format it, it reduces to 9.10mb, what will i do with this?

My Kingston DataTraveler 2GB USB Flash Drive was full but when I pluged it into my computer it is empty.

You're reading For some reason, my 1GB USB memory stick doesn't hold files anymore. When I try to access it through my computer, it says "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (F:). How can I fix this?

That is why I generally set mine to use a rarely used letter from the get-go.
My PC has installed drives and partitions up to H: so trying to plug in F: would lead to hilarity.

No I used it yesterday and it was fine. Used it today and it says its protected. Since then no-one has used the computer
