Fuel is often sold at rates that are not limited to whole numbers (eg 109.9p per litre). When the total price is calculated, is this routinely rounded up, down or to the nearest penny? Seems petty but if they always round up they must make a fortune.

    I have alweay wanted to sue in the US because this borders on fraud
    I can't go into a station and buy exactly 1 gallon of fuel
    since they can't change a penny
    but to answer ur Q
    This is a mental game, most ppl don't see the 3.999 almost $4.00 in their mind they think it is $3.99
