I saw this guy on TV. What a whack job. He had his gun strapped to the outside of his leg for everyone to see. When they were interviewing him, it was obvious that he was doing it for the attention. Pathetic!

I am not sure what to think of this but if he had a permit or wore it in a legal fashion it is a non-issue, to me that is...

I'm sure it upset the script for the meeting. But it was a dumb idea. The idea of putting 1000 armed people into a room and then hoping for civilized debate doesn't seem like a recipe for success.

I vehemently disagree. If even one nutcase from the left or right pulled a piece and began firing in such a setting, bullets would have soon been flying like a cloudburst.

All it takes is one short fuse.

Safe from dying from other things I'm sure.

He's from the same group that wants college students and teachers to carry guns, thinks grade school teachers should be armed, and that there is no reason to check you gun when you go to a bar.

I used to watch "Gun Smoke", I know what happens when armed drunks argue. Of course I don't agree!

Absolutely, it is his right as it should be.

It may have upset those bussed in from NY & Boston where they've abdicated their rights. However, there is nothing scarier about a law abiding citizen with a firearm than there is with a law enforcement officer.

According to the US Dept. of Justice firearms are used in the US between .5 & 1.5 million times a year in the US for self defense. They are only viewed as being offensive by those who suffer from hoplophobia who believe that firearms possess a will of their own and can only be an instrument of offense.

I would be more affraid of a nut case who would or could drive a car or truck into the crowd.
