Only if they wanted it, for a viewing before the match is lit.

No emblaming is neccessary if you choose "direct cremation". Usually direct cremation is required for individuals who have gone through tremendous physical trauma such as an automobile accident or suicide by a gunshot wound to the head. Some families preffer cremation due to the inexpensive cost that usually runs no more than $700.00 not including the death certificate and burial permit with the Health Department.

Embalming and creating are two different services. If you want your loved one enbalmed for viewing before a cremation, yes you will be charged. If you just want cremation, you are charged only for cremation. The ashes are given to the next of kin or the relative that make arrangements for cremation. My dad was cremated and they charged for cremation, death certificates. If you want services for them, they will charge you for funeral charges or mass at the funeral homes. Mass in churches depends on church as some don't approve cremation. The cost of cremation differs from city to city.

I don't know. Is it a state regulatory issue? I bet not unless the casket is open before cremation.
