For example, I would be tempted to watch a days cricket at Mumbai, Kolkata or Chennai but it probably wouldn't appeal to you. Without further ado, my top five would be: 1) the Taj Mahal - the must see; 2) Goa; 3) Varanasi on the Ganges - Hinduism's holiest place; 4) the palaces of Udaipur; 5) Cochin in Kerala. Other options include The Palace on Wheels a luxurious round trip from Delhi, the Red Fort in Delhi, the cave temples of northern Maharashtra and the Pushkar Camel Fair.
