+5 Tensile is that silver stuff you put on the Christmas tree that looks like icecycles and is not very strong,Torsional is a skirt that goes around your waist and that is also not strong but a little stronger than the Christmas decoration

Tensile strength is the resistance to being pulled apart end to end. If you were considering a tow-bar to tow a car, you would be concerned mainly about its tensile strength. Torsional strength is the resistance to twisting stress. If you were designing a drive shaft for a car, you'd be mainly concerned about its torsional strength.
