Help answer this question below.

Why would a persons chest make a popping noise when they are laying down if they take in adeep breath? would that even be normal?

    perhaps asthma? only 1 sure fire way to find out what it is though... ASK A DR!!!

    If you've never cracked, broken, or fractured a rib then you should definitely get it checked out. Ribs are connections just like knees, elbows, etc., but are extremely limited in their mobility (thus the rise and fall of chest only). Therefore, just like any other joint, they may release CO2 which creates the "pop".

    Do you work out alot, sounds like its your sternim, should ask a nurse but Ive had that happen in the past, your sternim will seperate and grow when your working out a lot.
