My power went out today and my cpu was off but still plugged in to a power strip that was on.after we got power back i tried turning it on but the power light blinks amber.the power strip works and ive tried evrything at the dell website.any sugestions?

the trouble shooting guide should tell you what is wrong by counting the flashes
how about a make and model?????

i just tried one of those that involved unpluggin the power cord from the cpu, and there was a flash of light from the back and a loud snapping noise
